Q: How do I charge my unit and how long does it take to fully charge the unit?

A: The Freestyle Audio DMP will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to charge. Simply plug the supplied USB cable into the player and your computer's USB outlet. The LED indicator will change from red to green when the unit is fully charged.


Q: Can I charge the player on my laptop?

A: If you're using a laptop, we recommend plugging your laptop into a wall socket before charging the Freestyle Audio DMP to ensure a full charge.


Q: How do I convert my CD to MP3 format?

A: First go to http://www.mgshareware.com and click on the 'Download now' link under the FreeRIP section, then click 'Download now' again to save the file locally.

  1. Once the file is downloaded, open the 'Freeripmp3.exe' to install the software (go through the wizard to complete the installation).
  2. Open FreeRIP and click 'OK' to complete the configuration (you can change the configuration such as the output path to specify the output location and you must enter your email address)
  3. Put your CD in your CD drive
  4. Click the 'CD' menu and select the 'Refresh' menu item
  5. A list describing your CD should appear select the proper CD info and select 'OK'
  6. Click on the green check box that refers to select all or select the CD tracks you wish to encode to MP3s
  7. Select the 'Rip' menu and select 'Rip to default' (this will start the CD ripping process)

Q: How do I upload mp3 songs onto my new Freestyle Audio device?

A: Follow 6 steps below:

  • Step 1: Open both your preferred mp3 audio program (itunes, realplayer etc) and your Freestyle audio device (Double click on My Computer and locate the drive that reads, "Removable storage device."
  • Step 2: Now that you have both itunes and the Freestyle audio device window open, minimize each window so that you have equal boxes side by side.
  • Step 3: Choose songs from you itunes music library that you want to download, remembering to hold the CTRL button down on your keyboard for multiple tracks.
  • Step 4: Using your mouse, simply drag and drop the music selected into the window of your Freestyle audio device.
  • Step 5: The status light will flash red on your Freestyle audio device as songs are being downloaded
  • Step 6: Unplug the USB cable. Plug in your waterproof earphones and enjoy.

Q: How do I know that the songs are uploading?

A: The status light on your Freestyle Audio device will flash red to indicate that songs are uploading.

Q: Can I upload non-MP3 files?

A: No. Non-MP3 files, including .wav and MP4 files will have to be converted to be uploaded to any Freestyle Audio device.


Q: Does the player have a warranty?

A: Freestyle Audio features a 90 day limited warranty. Full warranty information is included with every Freestyle Audio product.


Q: How long does the battery last?

A: The battery should last between 35-40 hours.


Q: My Freestyle Audio DMP won't turn on?

A: The headphones jack has a double click mechanism. The first click is 95% in, the second click connects the headphones completely. Make sure the headphones are inserted completely, as the unit will not work.

A2: Make sure your music is in mp3 format. The unit will not work if your music is in WMA or AAC formats.
